10th Meeting of the European Warriors in Lütz/Mosel
vom July 11th to 13th. 2014
The small town of Luetz in a side-valley of the Moser river was the arena of this years Meeting of the "European Warriors". We are a loose community of bikers who found their ultimative joy in riding this phantastic powercuiser form Yamaha and who now will stick to their choice for many years. The individual rebuildings and improvements done to those bikes with love an dedication throughout the years surprise us again and again every year and are subjects to endless conversations.
To the 10th year jubilee we could say hello to a proud number of 46 participants with 36 Warriors. Our small but nice group of dedicated followers has grown through the years to a remarkable group of Warriors from many different european countries. Beside the large german contigent, our friends from England contributed the largest group with 13 participants. Of course also our faithful friends from Switzerland again were with us. To our greatest joy the number of Warriors from Hungary has doubled (from one to two)
We also had two Warriors from Holland with us. Through the year we have tried to establish contact to Warriors from Poland. Slovakia and Sveden of we hope that some of them will find their way to one of our meetings in the next years. Especially in Solvakia and Poland local Warrior-Meetings are planned right now and the local meeting in Hungary where I had the privileg to attend this year has made many hungarian Warriors interested in our european meeting.
The selected location for this years meeting proved to be a good choice. The party in the evenings lasted until the early morning. The weather was not so comfortable and heavy showers of rain at saturday almost spoiled our rideout (like in England several years ago). But a true Warrior will fight the rain. Smaller technical problems on the rideout were solved with combined efforts. A broke down battery on one of the dutch Warriors was replaced and the nothing serious hindered the extended final party on Saturday evening. This years meeting again was a success and it is always amazing to see how many Warriors are still on road in Europe, considering the fact the the sale has stopped 10 years ago in many eunropean countries.
